It was here that God began to work in—and later through—Luke, crafting a beautiful testimony out of hardship, pain, suffering, and love. Luke and April married in Novemeber 2001 and shared the path that eventually led them to Christ. Their passion and their story led them to form ThrowDown Ministries in 2009. God has used the Sassers’ story to reach youth and young adults who feel hurting, confused, and headed down the same path Luke was. Luke and April have four boys, ages one through ten, and attend Cornerstone Church in Cleveland, TX under Pastor James Holt. Schelle Kozlowski has worked with Ministries since 2003 and puts her heart into helping people out. She currently lives in Akron, Ohio with her Husband Jeremy and daughter Hailey. The Kozlowski family attends Cottage Grove Evangelical Congregational Church and their Pastor is Bob Shuey. Schelle, Josh, and other Team members have worked together in Strength Ministry for over 7 years and developed a great friendship that could be described as family-like.
